These earrings are hand-hammered with softly muted colors that the pictures don't quite capture.  This is a technique called fire painting, in which a torch is used to heat the copper several times with periods of cooling down in between.  The colors are muted shades of purple, aqua, pink and yellow.    Earwires are made from 14K gold filled wire.  A clear coat has been applied to prevent color fading.  These measure 2 1/2"L from top of earwire to bottom of copper piece.
